This Privacy Policy ('Policy') explains how B2BMarket ('we', 'us', 'our', or the 'Company') collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects Personal Data when you use our B2B wholesale marketplace platform, available at https://b2bmarket.ae and any related applications (together, the 'Services'). This Policy is issued in accordance with UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data ('PDPL') and applies to all merchants, buyers, visitors, and other users of the Services.

B2BMarket is a business-to-business (B2B) wholesale marketplace that connects merchants/traders who list products, deals, and catalogs with buyers who search, request quotations, and negotiate purchases. If you disagree with this Policy, please discontinue use of the Services.

3. Personal Data We Collect

3.1 Account & Merchant Data

When you register an account and/or a merchant storefront, we may collect:

  • Title, first and last name, username, email address, and phone number.
  • Company/store profile details: business name, description, business category, working hours, and public social links (Facebook, Instagram, X).
  • Verification documents submitted to confirm your business identity (e.g. trade license or company registration documents).
  • Team member accounts you invite to manage your storefront, and their roles/permissions.
  • Login device information, used to secure your account and detect unrecognized sign-ins.
  • Account credentials (username and encrypted password), or third-party sign-in identifiers if you authenticate via a supported provider.
  • Subscription plan, billing details, and payment/transaction records.

3.2 Marketplace Activity Data

To operate the marketplace, we process data generated through your use of the Services, including:

  • Products, deals, and catalog listings you publish, including images, files, pricing tiers, and bulk imports uploaded via spreadsheet.
  • Requests for Quotation (RFQs) you submit or respond to, and the resulting quotations.
  • Messages exchanged between merchants and buyers through our conversations/inquiries feature.
  • Saved products, followed stores, and matching deal alerts you configure.
  • Reviews and ratings you submit or receive.
  • Featured-listing purchases and other paid placements.
  • Notifications preferences and delivery records (email/in-app).

3.3 Automatically Collected Data

  • Cookies and Similar Technologies: Used to keep you signed in, remember your language/currency preferences, and secure your session.
  • Analytics Data: Store and product performance statistics (views, clicks, inquiries received) shown to merchants about their own storefront.
  • Technical Data: IP address, browser type, device identifiers, and approximate location, used for security, fraud prevention, and aggregated country-level analytics. Raw IP addresses are not retained for longer than necessary for these purposes.

4. How We Use Your Personal Data

4.1 Service Delivery

  • Creating and operating your account and merchant storefront.
  • Publishing and displaying products, deals, catalogs, and RFQs.
  • Facilitating messaging, quotations, and inquiries between merchants and buyers.
  • Processing subscription payments and maintaining transaction records.

4.2 Communication

  • Sending transactional notifications (new inquiries, RFQ responses, order/subscription updates, deal alerts, saved-store activity).
  • Responding to support requests.
  • Sending marketing communications only with your consent, with an unsubscribe option available on every email.

4.3 Service Improvement & Security

  • Analyzing aggregated platform usage to improve features and performance.
  • Verifying merchant identity and preventing fraudulent listings or transactions.
  • Detecting and preventing unauthorized access, abuse, and security incidents.
  • Enforcing our Terms & Conditions and this Policy.

5. Data Sharing and Disclosure

5.1 Between Merchants and Buyers

To make the marketplace function, certain information is necessarily visible to other users: a merchant's public storefront details and listings are visible to all visitors, while messages, RFQs, and quotations are shared only between the merchant and buyer involved in that specific exchange.

5.2 Service Providers

We share data with trusted third parties who process it on our behalf, such as:

  • Cloud hosting, storage, and infrastructure providers.
  • Payment and subscription-billing processors.
  • Email/notification delivery services.
  • Analytics and platform-security tools.

These providers are bound by contractual confidentiality and data-protection obligations consistent with Article 10 of the PDPL.

5.3 Legal Requirements

We may disclose Personal Data when required by UAE courts, government authorities, law enforcement, or to protect our legal rights, property, or the safety of our users.

5.4 Business Transfers

In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the successor entity, with notice provided where required by law.

B2BMarket serves merchants and buyers across multiple countries. Where Personal Data is transferred outside the UAE, we ensure the receiving country offers an adequate level of protection, or that appropriate safeguards (such as contractual data-protection clauses) are in place, in line with the PDPL.

  • Active Accounts: Retained while your account remains active.
  • Closed Accounts: Retained for a reasonable period after closure for legal, accounting, and anti-fraud purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.
  • Transaction & Subscription Records: Retained for as long as required by applicable UAE commercial and tax laws.
  • Messages, RFQs and Reviews: Retained for as long as reasonably needed to resolve disputes between merchants and buyers.
  • Marketing Data: Deleted or suppressed promptly upon withdrawal of consent.

You may request deletion of your data at any time, subject to our legal retention obligations.

Subject to the PDPL, you have the right to:

  • Access the Personal Data we hold about you.
  • Rectify inaccurate or incomplete Personal Data.
  • Erasure of your Personal Data where it is no longer necessary for the purposes it was collected.
  • Restrict or object to certain processing activities.
  • Data portability, receiving your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting prior lawful processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with the competent UAE regulatory authority.
